What is Nerds Pay It Forward?
NPIF is NerdWallet's company-sponsored volunteering program. Every year Nerds give their time to causes they care about, on the company's dime and on company time.
Who can take part?
Every Nerd, in every department and every location. Remote, hybrid and in-office all count.
How many hours do I get?
NerdWallet gives each Nerd paid volunteer hours every year. Check the People team's NPIF page for this year's allowance and how to log the time.
Do I have to volunteer on a specific day?
No. Pick whatever date and time works for you and your team — just put it on this form so we can keep track and make sure coverage works out.
Can I volunteer with a group of Nerds?
Yes, and it's one of the best parts. Each person should still fill out this form individually so everyone's hours are counted.
Does NerdWallet match donations too?
Donation matching runs through BrightFunds alongside volunteering. Log in to the BrightFunds portal to give and request a match.
What if my plans change?
Sign up again with the new date and drop a note to the People team so they can tidy up the old entry.
